SECURE PAYMENTS

At the end of the purchase procedure, the Customer may choose from the payment methods actually available and displayed at checkout.

The methods offered may include credit or debit cards, express checkout systems, digital wallets and local, deferred or installment payment methods, including, where available, Scalapay, Klarna or similar.

The availability of individual methods may vary depending on the Customer's country, currency, order amount, device used, conditions set by the respective provider and the Customer's eligibility for the requested service.

Payments are processed through Shopify Payments and/or through the payment method provider selected by the Customer. In the normal checkout process, BeC S.r.l. does not receive or store the complete payment card details entered by the Customer. The information necessary for the transaction is processed through the secure systems of the respective providers.

To authorize payment, prevent fraud or verify eligibility for an installment service, the selected provider may request additional information or an authentication procedure. For card payments, the 3D Secure security system may be used when required by the bank or card issuer. Shopify Payments uses encryption, fraud detection and 3D Secure authentication systems.

When the Customer selects a deferred or installment payment method, the relevant payment plan is governed by the contractual terms of the chosen provider. BeC S.r.l. remains extraneous to the financing or deferral relationship between the Customer and such provider.

The available payment methods are always those indicated at checkout at the time of order and may be modified or updated over time.
